Work Loads
The working week for all AAU faculty members covers 40 hours distributed as follows:
- 12 teaching hours (one Cr/ hr of postgraduate is equivalent to 1.5 of undergraduate).
- 6 office hours.
- 8 hours for preparing instructional materials.
- 5 hours for meetings, course revisions and other administrative duties.
- 9 hours for research The teaching load for Department Chairs is no greater than 9 semester hours fora given semester.
The teaching load for a college Dean is no greater than 3 semester hours for a given semester.
